iOS 9.3.5 released

iOS 9.3.5 released with security fix


This may be the  end of iOS 9 Era, next update of iOS definitely iOS 10. It will release mid of september 2016.

Update: The update fixes a heavy security exploit that exposed  texts, contacts, calls, and emails.

August 26, 2016  Apple released the iOS 9.3.5 software update for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touchs. This bug fix update follows the recent release of iOS 9.3.4, that closed a recent jailbreak bug, and iOS 9.3.3, that was tested for many weeks and also enclosed bug fixes. iOS 9.3.5 might even be the last update to iOS 9 devices and also the last iOS 9 update normally before iOS 10 is released this fall.

iOS 9.3.5 is described as a crucial security update and suggested for all users with compatible devices, running iOS 9.x.x

But, this is bad new for iOS jailbreak community.

Investigators discovered that a corporation known as the NSO group, AN Israeli that sells software system that invisibly tracks a target’s mobile phone, was liable for the intrusions. The NSO Group’s software system(pegasus malware?) will can track emails, text messages, contacts and calls. It will even record sounds, collect passwords and trace the whereabouts of the phone user.

August 25, 2016 Apple  released a patched version of its mobile software system, iOS 9.3.5. Users will get the patch through a normal software system update.

Bill Marczak and John Scott Railton, researchers who first report this issue at citizen lab at the University of Toronto.10 days later Apple fix this security hole and release the new update of iOS 9.3.5.
